Something happens to me when I’m running outside. It’s just, pure freedom. I’m away from the confines of the office, away from the never-ending chores of life, at one with the amazing outside world. When I look at this graphic, I can almost recapture that feeling of freedom. It’s like I’m so close but it’s not 100% satisfying. That feeling is what I long to (literally) chase again. Often, I lie in bed at night thinking about how cool the run will be tomorrow.
There is definitely something to being addicted to it. I quickly notice the detox when I don’t run, it messes with my attitude and physical well-being.
